Lithium Polymer Battery


Lithium polymer battery uses file alloy as positive electrode, polymer conductive material, polyacetylene, polyaniline or polyphenol as negative electrode, organic solvent as electrolyte.  The specific energy of lithium polyaniline battery can reach 350w.h /kg, but the specific power is only 50-60W/kg, the service temperature is -40-70 degrees, and the service life is about 330 times.  

Compared with lithium ion batteries, lithium polymer batteries have the following characteristics:  

1. Relatively improve the problem of battery leakage, but not completely improve.  

2, can be made into thin battery: 3.6V 250mAh capacity, its thickness can be thin to 0.5mm.  

3. The battery can be designed in a variety of shapes.  

4, can be made into a single high voltage: liquid electrolyte battery can only be a number of batteries in series to get high voltage, and polymer battery because of its own no liquid, can be made in a single multi-layer combination to achieve high voltage.  

5, discharge power, theoretically 10% higher than the same size of lithium ion battery.  

Li-polymer batteries (also known as polymer lithium ion batteries) have many advantages such as high energy, miniaturization, ultra-thin, lightweight and high safety.  Based on such advantages, lithium polymer batteries can be made into any shape and capacity of batteries, so as to meet the needs of a variety of products;  And it uses aluminum plastic packaging, internal problems can be immediately through the outer packaging, even if there are safety risks, will not explode, will only bulge.  In polymer batteries, electrolyte plays the dual functions of diaphragm and electrolyte: on the one hand, it separates positive and negative materials like diaphragm, preventing self-discharge and short circuit in the battery; on the other hand, it conducts lithium ions between positive and negative electrodes like electrolyte.  Polymer electrolyte not only has good electrical conductivity, but also has the characteristics of light weight, good elasticity, easy film formation, etc., which also conforms to the development trend of chemical power supply with light weight, safety, high efficiency and environmental protection.
